Protect Yourself & Others from COVID-19

IMPORTANT: For the protection of other patients and our staff, if you are feeling unwell or experiencing possible symptoms of coronavirus please refrain from visiting our pharmacy. We can help you over the phone and can deliver your medication contact-free to you at home. Contact Us.

What are the symptoms of COVID-19?

The symptoms of COVID-19 are:

  • a dry cough.

  • a high temperature (at least 38°C).

  • shortness of breath.

These symptoms do not necessarily mean you have COVID-19. The symptoms are similar to other illnesses that are much more common, such as cold and flu.

What can I do to stop COVID-19 spreading?

  • Cough or sneeze into your elbow or by covering your mouth and nose with tissues.

  • Put used tissues in the bin or a bag immediately.

  • Wash your hands with soap and water often (for at least 20 seconds).

  • Try to avoid close contact with people who are unwell.

  • Don’t touch your eyes, nose or mouth if your hands are not clean.

  • Avoid personal contact, such as kissing, sharing cups or food with sick people.

  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces and objects, such as doorknobs.

  • Stay at home.

  • Call Healthline on 0800 358 5453 if you have any symptoms and have been recently been overseas or have been in close contact with someone confirmed with COVID-19.

What if I think I have symptoms of COVID-19?

If you arrived in New Zealand in the last 14 days, you should self-isolate for 14 days from the date you departed the last country you visited.

If you have been in close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 you should self-isolate for 14 days from the date of close contact.

This means:

  • Immediately limiting your contact with others by practising self-isolation. What is self-isolation? Read more here.

  • Call Healthline 24/7 on 0800 358 5453 and follow their advice.

  • Refrain from visiting us in-store at the pharmacy. We will be happy to take your phone call, respond to your emails or to deliver orders placed here on our website or over the phone for your prescriptions.

We know from other outbreaks that self-isolation is effective, and most people are good at keeping themselves – and others – safe and well.

Access to Medication

There is currently no need to panic about the supply of prescription medication in New Zealand so there is no need to bulk buy. However, we do recommend that you don’t allow your regular and essential prescription medications to almost run out before you organise a new prescription.

At this stage our opening hours will remain the same (8.30am-5.30pm) Monday - Friday.

Access into the pharmacy itself will be limited. We will only allow 1 customer into the pharmacy at a time. Please wait in your car or outside on one of our super comfortable plastic chairs while we process your prescription.

If your requirement is not urgent we suggest you email us or phone ahead for your repeat, or drop off your prescription at the front door. There is a slot in the glass window of the door to the pharmacy that you can pass your script through if we're closed. Doing this ahead of time means you don't need to wait - just pick up and go.

We encourage you to ask your Doctor to email or fax your prescription to us (fax number is 07 5769605).

Please use paywave as much as possible. We can charge costs to an account for you to pay later via internet banking. We will have a portable Eftpos machine to allow us to process payments from the carpark.

We will continue to deliver medication and repeats - please feel free to use this service. Allow 24 hours for your delivery as we are unsure what load this service will be under. This is a FREE service. If you are comfortable having your medication left in your letterbox let us know. Otherwise we will knock at your door, leave the medicine on the doorstep and step back to keep our social distance. Again, we would prefer no cash transactions.
